What is it?
Collaboratory is “collaboration meets brainstorming” among the best creatives, brand managers, and marketers inside and outside the freedom movement. Participation is by invitation.
Collaboratory accelerates good projects by combining the talents of people from several areas of expertise in active, joint work. Like Shark Tank, we match project proponents with proven implementers.
At the Collaboratory you can help make innovative, well-conceived, practical projects even more successful! Project leaders prepare a short presentation to pitch their new project in strategic, tactical, measurable, and motivating terms so that the Collaboratory can accelerate outcomes.
In a single full day of meetings, three things happen:
- Selected Collaboratory participants explain a project they intend to launch.
- In response, the group offers critique and ideas to make the projects better.
- Attendees volunteer to help implement the project with concrete offers of support.
In the weeks after the Collaboratory event, Spark Freedom publishes the commitments to help, advises and coaches project staff, and reports progress to all event participants.
As a result of Collaboratory, people meet others outside their areas of acquaintance, forge cooperative relationships, and perform work together.
Collaboratory is presented by Spark Freedom in collaboration with the Foundation for Harmony and Prosperity and the Foundation for Economic Education.
On the QT: optional “team-building” activity
Short Mountain Distillery had to get a county plan changed in order to set up their still and bottling operation. So they did!
Now the distillery operates on several hundred acres, including its own spring, and sells authentic Tennessee spirits throughout the Southeast. Billy will take our group through the history, a tour of the facility, a walk to the spring, and to visit the tasting room.
The first 15 people will fit in the tour bus for a drive through lush middle Tennessee that ends with check-in time at the Carriage Lane Inn. We’ll have snacks on board, of course.
Lani Johnson will be glad to reserve your seat: Lani@SparkFreedom.org, 520-954-0266 by October 16.
